Seluruh etnis di Suriname hidup rukun dan damai bahkan ada semacam kantor bersama untuk pertemuan mereka secara periodik, dan pemerintah memberikan subsidi berupada dana untuk keperluan mereka. Perhatikan etnis Jawa memakai kopiah khas Indonesia dan saat difoto mereka ngapu rancang, dengan tangan di depan.
